Kuwait Housing Applications Get New 90-Day Update Rule

Applicant updating Kuwait Housing Applications documents for government housing

People applying for government-owned rental housing in Kuwait will now have to update their personal information within 90 days after receiving a notification from the Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW). The new requirement aims to ensure that Kuwait Housing Applications remain accurate and that housing assistance is provided only to eligible beneficiaries.

The change comes under a ministerial decree issued by the Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of State for Housing Affairs, Eng. Abdul Latif Al-Mishari. The decree revises parts of the Housing Welfare Regulations by introducing a new provision, Article 96-bis, for government-owned rental housing.

Kuwait Housing Applications Face New Update Requirement

The latest amendment was introduced following a proposal from the Women’s Housing Committee after reviewing the circumstances of people benefiting from government-owned rental housing.

According to the new rules, applicants must update their documents and personal information within 90 days of receiving a notification from PAHW. The updated records are intended to help authorities maintain accurate beneficiary information and ensure that housing services are distributed fairly and transparently.

Officials said the measure ensures housing assistance goes to eligible applicants.
