What documents do parents need before applying?
The first step involves checking the status of both parents’ identity cards. Both the mother and father must hold an active and valid CNIC, since an expired card can immediately stall the process.
Beyond active cards, NADRA also requires accurate spousal records in its database. This means personal details, parents’ names, spouse names, and ID card numbers must all be correctly registered for both husband and wife.
Marital status plays an equally important role. Both parents must be officially listed as “married” within the NADRA system, as any mismatch here can also cause processing issues.
Why does Union Council registration matter?
The relevant Union Council must register the child’s birth before the family applies. The family must complete UC registration before applying for the B-Form at NADRA.
Families should therefore treat UC registration as a preparatory step rather than something to arrange alongside the B-Form application. Completing it early helps prevent back-and-forth trips to different offices.
Do NADRA B-Form Requirements Need Children In Person?
Physical presence becomes necessary once a child crosses the age of three. At that stage, the child must visit NADRA for a photo and thumb impression.
You cannot complete this step remotely through the Pak ID app. However, parents do not need to bring younger children for biometric capture at this stage.
