Punjab Govt Issues Next Kissan Card Installment to Farmers

The Punjab government has released the latest Kissan Card installment, transferring fresh interest-free funds directly into farmers’ accounts. The move aims to support growers ahead of the upcoming crop cycle and ensure uninterrupted agricultural activity across the province.

Officials confirmed that farmers who cleared their previous dues by April 20 have already received the new payment. The funds are part of the ongoing Kissan Card scheme, designed to provide easy, timely access to financial services without interest.

According to the Agriculture Department, this step will help farmers purchase seeds, fertilizers, and other essentials without delay. Authorities also urged farmers to stay regular with repayments to remain eligible for future installments.

The government has linked timely payments with added incentives. Farmers who clear outstanding dues by April 25 will qualify for a prize draw offering rewards worth millions of rupees. This initiative aims to encourage financial discipline while supporting the farming community.

The third phase of bill payments under the scheme started earlier this month. Officials say the process is running smoothly, with a large number of farmers already benefiting from the system.

Punjab’s Kissan Card scheme remains a key part of the province’s agriculture support strategy. By offering interest-free loans, the government aims to reduce financial pressure on farmers and boost overall crop productivity.

Authorities continue to advise farmers to use the funds responsibly and follow the repayment schedule to avoid any disruption in benefits.
