Pakistan has officially welcomed a new electric vehicle as the MG4 EV Urban makes its debut in the local market, marking another step toward the country’s growing shift to electric mobility. The launch was announced by MG Motor Pakistan during a formal event in Lahore attended by dealers, media representatives, and industry stakeholders.
The arrival of the MG4 EV Urban brings a compact electric hatchback designed for urban driving, combining modern features with fast-charging capability and improved driving efficiency. The vehicle targets city users looking for a practical and eco-friendly alternative to traditional fuel-powered cars.
According to the company, the MG4 EV Urban is equipped with a 43 kWh battery pack paired with a front-wheel-drive electric motor that delivers 110 kW of power and 250 Nm of torque. This setup gives the hatchback up to 316 km range (WLTP), suitable for daily commuting and short trips.
One of the key highlights of the MG4 EV Urban is its fast-charging support. The battery charges from 10% to 80% in about 28 minutes with DC fast charging, reducing city downtime.
Inside the cabin, the vehicle features a 12.8-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. It also offers wireless charging, heated front seats, and advanced driver assistance systems for better comfort and safety.
Safety remains a strong focus in the MG4 EV Urban. The hatchback comes with Adaptive Cruise Control, AEB, Blind Spot Detection, Lane Keep Assist, and a 540-degree camera. These features position it among the more advanced electric hatchbacks available in the segment.
The company has launched the MG4 EV Urban in Pakistan for Rs. 6,949,000. With rising fuel costs and growing EV interest, the model may attract urban buyers seeking savings and modern tech.
