PML-N Slams PTI Over Mixed Signals in Government Talks

PML-N slams PTI over mixed signals in government talks, accusing the opposition of sending conflicting messages. PML-N leaders insist political dialogue in Pakistan must continue, and democracy thrives only through dialogue, not deadlock. The party criticized PTI’s inconsistent stance, noting that negotiation clarity is essential for effective government talks.

On Friday, PM Shehbaz extended an offer to PTI for talks, but the party, following Imran Khan’s directions, rejected government negotiations. However, some TTAP members expressed willingness to engage in dialogue. PML-N leaders, including Rana Sanaullah, Ayaz Sadiq, and Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, emphasized that political engagement readiness demonstrates their commitment to resolving issues peacefully.

The National Assembly speaker, Ayaz Sadiq, stressed that offices are always open for discussion, and the ruling coalition of PPP and PML-N aims to strengthen political stability. Sanaullah highlighted that PTI’s mixed messaging and political meetings have created confusion, and the previous party founder’s trials added to uncertainty. Political confrontation and instability, he warned, can harm public trust in government negotiations.

PML-N further pointed out that democratic dialogue ensures political issues are addressed and prevents political chaos and anarchy. They referenced past national conferences on democracy, stating the door to dialogue must never be closed. Sanaullah also mentioned that restrictions on visitation and bans on meetings are in accordance with the law, and maintaining protection remains a top priority.

In conclusion, PML-N urges PTI to clarify its opposition party stance and engage in meaningful dialogue. Criticism of PTI’s mixed signals underlines the importance of negotiation clarity. Effective political dialogue in Pakistan remains key to stable governance and long-term cooperation between parties.
