NADRA has introduced the “Visa Sponsor Biometric Verification” feature in its Pak Identity mobile app to simplify the sponsorship process for Pakistani citizens.

After a foreign national submits a visa application through the Pakistan Online Visa System, the sponsor receives an email containing the application details. Using those details, the sponsor can log in to the Pak Identity app and begin the biometric verification process.

People using the Pak Identity app for the first time must first create an account. During registration, users are required to provide their email address and complete fingerprint and facial verification.
Once the account is activated, they can access NADRA’s digital services and choose the option to verify their own biometrics. Where applicable, the app also allows verification for an eligible close blood relative.
After the verification is completed successfully, users receive a confirmation message stating that the verification has been completed. The visa application’s status is then updated automatically so the processing can continue.
