Pakistan’s Interior Ministry has firmly dismissed recent media and social media reports linked to UAE deportation claims, stating that there is no evidence of any targeted action against Pakistani nationals in the United Arab Emirates.
The clarification came after reports suggested that Pakistani workers were being removed from the Gulf country under a specific or discriminatory campaign. Officials called these claims misleading and not supported by verified data.
According to the ministry, a detailed review of available information shows no indication of any country-specific or community-based deportation drive by UAE authorities.
Routine legal procedures, not targeted action
The Interior Ministry explained that any deportations reported in the media are part of standard immigration enforcement. These actions typically involve visa violations, expired documentation, or overstaying permitted limits.
Officials stressed that such procedures apply universally under UAE law and are not directed at any nationality in particular.
The statement further highlighted that Pakistani citizens continue to travel to the UAE for work and employment. Many also obtain visas without restrictions when they meet legal requirements.
Social media reports dismissed as misleading
Authorities also addressed growing online speculation, saying that unverified posts on social media contributed to confusion around the issue. The ministry labeled such narratives as part of a “misinformation campaign” and urged caution while sharing sensitive claims.
Officials confirmed that Pakistan’s diplomatic channels remain active in addressing any concerns involving citizens abroad. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs handles such matters on a case-by-case basis with relevant authorities.
Background of recent reports
The clarification follows international media reports alleging the deportation of Pakistani workers in the UAE. Some reports linked the issue to broader regional tensions and suggested increased scrutiny of foreign workers.
However, Pakistani authorities have rejected these interpretations, maintaining that no evidence supports claims of targeted expulsions.
The government has urged the public and media to rely on verified sources and avoid spreading unconfirmed information regarding UAE deportation claims.
