Google Expands Gemini AI in Chrome Across New Regions

Gemini AI Chrome is expanding globally as Google rolls out its AI-powered browsing feature to more countries in the Asia-Pacific region.

The company confirmed that users in Australia, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, and Vietnam can now access Gemini AI within Chrome. The feature is available on desktop and iOS devices, though iOS support is limited in some markets.

Gemini AI Chrome first launched in the United States earlier this year. It later expanded to India, Canada, and New Zealand as part of Google’s global strategy.

The tool transforms the browser into an AI-assisted workspace. Users can ask questions, summarize content, and draft messages without leaving their tabs. This reduces the need to switch between apps and search engines.

Gemini now works as a sidebar assistant. It can respond instantly while users browse multiple pages. The system also connects with Google services like Gmail, Calendar, and Maps. This allows users to send emails, schedule meetings, and check locations directly from Chrome.

Google has also introduced image editing tools within the browser. These tools let users modify visuals without opening external apps. The company is testing an advanced version of Gemini that can perform tasks automatically, but it remains limited to select users.

The expansion of Gemini AI Chrome shows how artificial intelligence is becoming central to everyday internet use. Experts believe such features will change how people search, write, and manage tasks online.

For users in Pakistan, the rollout signals future availability as Google continues its global expansion. The move highlights growing competition in AI-powered tools and browsers.
