Pakistan, Saudi Leaders Hold Key Talks on Regional Developments

Pakistan Saudi talks between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman focused on the evolving regional situation, bilateral cooperation, and ongoing peace efforts during a high-level meeting in Jeddah.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, in Saudi Arabia’s coastal city of Jeddah for detailed discussions that lasted nearly two hours. Both leaders reviewed regional developments and exchanged views on key geopolitical and economic issues affecting the wider Middle East and South Asia.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister conveyed condolences over the loss of lives in recent regional tensions and reaffirmed that the people of Pakistan stand in solidarity with Saudi Arabia. He also appreciated the Saudi leadership’s restraint and measured approach in handling sensitive regional challenges.

The discussions placed strong emphasis on ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing tensions in the region. PM Shehbaz Sharif briefed the Crown Prince on Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts, including U.S.–Iran ceasefire-related talks. He also highlighted Pakistan’s role in facilitating dialogue and promoting regional stability.

The Saudi Crown Prince praised Pakistan’s diplomacy and leadership in peace efforts. Both sides agreed that dialogue remains the most effective path to resolving regional disputes and avoiding further escalation.

Beyond regional security, the leaders also discussed the strong economic and strategic partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. PM Shehbaz Sharif thanked Saudi Arabia for its financial and economic support in helping Pakistan stabilize its economy.

Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, energy, and manpower development. They also stressed strong Pakistan–Saudi defense ties as a key pillar of mutual trust.

The meeting concluded with a shared resolve to maintain close coordination on regional and global developments. Both sides agreed to continue talks on peace, stability, and economic cooperation.
