Sindh Govt Launches Karachi–Mohenjo-Daro Air Safari for Tourism, aiming to boost cultural tourism and showcase Sindh’s historical heritage. The new air safari connects Karachi to Mohenjo-Daro, providing passengers with scenic aerial views of Karachi coastline, lush mangrove forests, and the 5000-year-old ancient city. This initiative is expected to enhance the travel experience and promote sustainable tourism in the province.
The air safari is a joint venture between the Sindh Tourism Development Corporation (STDC) and a private aviation company. Fayaz Ali Shah, Managing Director STDC, and Imran Aslam, CEO of the private company, formally signed the agreement. Officials said the flights will offer a unique tourist flight experience, highlighting Mohenjo-Daro’s archaeological site and multistoried buildings, public bathing pools, and historical infrastructure.
Mohenjo-Daro, located in Larkana district, is one of the earliest cities of the Indus Valley Civilisation. With its well-planned waste disposal system and peaceful layout, it remains a remarkable UNESCO heritage site. Passengers will not only see the city from above but also learn about its archaeological discoveries, deserted city areas, and ancient streets. The air safari enhances cultural travel in Sindh and encourages visitors to explore other tourist attractions in Pakistan.
Officials emphasized that the air safari will provide both convenience and adventure. With Karachi to Mohenjo-Daro flights, tourists can enjoy safe, scenic travel while supporting the Sindh tourism boost initiative. The project highlights heritage preservation and strengthens historical tourism in Pakistan, connecting modern travelers to the region’s rich past.
The launch marks a significant step for Sindh government in promoting cultural tourism and providing a memorable travel experience through aerial tours.
