Sindh issues new guidelines for vehicle owners across the province

Sindh Police Issues New Guidelines for Vehicle Owners Across the Province to Improve Traffic Law Enforcement in Sindh. The updated rules focus on vehicle registration compliance and proper documentation for motorcycles and cars.

According to the Sindh Police, the crackdown on illegal number plates will now begin on April 1. Authorities extended the compliance deadline to March 31 to give citizens sufficient time. This police operation targets vehicles with illegal fancy plates, bogus fitness certificates, or expired documentation. The move aligns with the government transport regulation drive and public safety transport rules.

The Sindh Transport Department, alongside Karachi traffic enforcement campaigns, is supervising the implementation. Officials stressed the importance of installing government-approved number plates and maintaining vehicle inspection compliance. Fake fitness certificate vehicles will face registration cancellation.

Sharjeel Inam Memon, senior provincial minister, said authorities are committed to making public roads safer. “Violators using non-standard plates or fake certificates pose a major risk to citizens,” he added. Sindh Police spokesperson Azad Khan reiterated that all vehicles must meet safety and documentation standards.

The enforcement aims to promote transparency, reduce transport law violations, and ensure consistent vehicle safety compliance across Sindh.

By following these new rules, residents can avoid legal action and contribute to a safer transport environment. The Sindh Police’s guidelines highlight the importance of lawful vehicle operations, compliance with vehicle number plate regulations in Pakistan, and protecting public safety.
