Sindh Introduces Revised School Timings for Ramadan 2026 to Ease Student Routines. The Sindh government has issued new timings for public and private schools during Ramadan 1447 AH. These revised school timings aim to help fasting students and teachers balance academic activities during the holy month. By adjusting start and end times, schools can effectively support student routines and religious obligations.
Under the new schedule, single-shift schools in Sindh will operate from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm Monday to Thursday, and 8:30 am to 11:30 am on Fridays. Double-shift schools will run the morning session from 7:30 am to 11:30 am and the evening shift from 11:45 am to 2:45 pm. These changes ensure that students of primary, secondary, and higher secondary schools can focus on learning without affecting their fasting schedules.
The Education & Literacy Department emphasized that revised school timings will remain in effect throughout Ramadan 2026. Schools are encouraged to integrate charitable activities during Ramadan, along with increased prayers and Quranic recitation. The adjustments also account for teacher workload during Ramadan, helping educators manage their responsibilities while observing fasts.
Ramadan in Pakistan is expected to begin on 19 February 2026, subject to moon sighting by the Pakistan authorities. The new school schedule aligns with provincial education notifications, ensuring consistency across the province.
