KP CM Increases Relief Support for Operation-Affected Families to Rs230,000, announcing a major relief package increase for victims of the Kurram district security operation. The provincial government aims to support displaced families and ensure fair distribution of aid. This move reflects KP CM Muhammad Sohail Afridi’s commitment to transparency and tribal area support.
Relief assistance has been doubled from Rs 110,000 to Rs 230,000 per family, including those staying with host families. The initiative aligns with KP’s development goals, focusing on support for displaced persons and their recovery after security operations. Afridi emphasized that all affected families in the Kurram district and neighboring areas would receive aid on the same pattern as victims of the Khyber district operations.
Officials highlighted federal and provincial coordination in implementing this relief package. A meeting at PM House, Islamabad, between CM Sohail Afridi and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif reviewed law and order in KP and discussed the latest 13th Finance Commission allocations. Key attendees included Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, KP Finance Advisor Muzammil Aslam, and Federal Minister Amir Muqam. The discussions ensured transparent aid distribution and strengthened provincial government initiatives for stability and civil progress.
The KP government increased relief to fix dual address issues and reduce aid delays. The provincial leadership emphasized unity, development, and the importance of civil progress despite sectarian and tribal challenges. The relief package helps families rebuild and shows the government’s commitment.
