CDA Introduces 10 Digital Ramadan Bazaars Across Islamabad

CDA Introduces 10 Digital Ramadan Bazaars Across Islamabad to provide citizens with convenient access to affordable food items during the holy month. The initiative by the Capital Development Authority (CDA Islamabad) focuses on cashless transactions, helping shoppers complete Ramadan shopping in Islamabad smoothly. This program aims to combine convenience, safety, and digital payments in bazaars for residents of the city.

The CDA plans to set up seven new Ramadan bazaars and convert three existing weekly bazaars into digital hubs. Key locations include Bhara Kahu bazaar, Pakistan Town bazaar along the Islamabad Expressway, and Tarnol bazaar. Each bazaar will feature cash-and-carry outlets and organic food stalls, ensuring high food quality standards. Chand Bazaar will also operate during the last ten days of Ramadan to facilitate Eid-ul-Fitr shopping.

All bazaars will be completely cashless to encourage digital transaction adoption. Assistant Commissioners will monitor each site regularly, ensuring market monitoring and security. The CDA has emphasized cleanliness, proper maintenance, and beautification of bazaar sites. Special arrangements, including Faisal Mosque lighting and recreational sports activities during Ramadan, will enhance citizen convenience and facilities.

This government initiative for Ramadan supports local vendors and promotes community engagement during Ramadan. Residents can enjoy affordable food items during Ramadan without long queues or cash handling, making the shopping experience safer and more efficient. Citizens are also encouraged to explore the healthy activities for citizens planned at nearby sports grounds.

By introducing these 10 digital bazaars, the CDA demonstrates proactive Ramadan month preparation. The project aims to improve Eid preparations and ensure smooth Ramadan shopping in Islamabad while maintaining high standards of hygiene and food quality.
