Pakistan Launches Deepal S05, the Country’s First Locally Assembled REEV SUV, marking a historic milestone in the Pakistani automotive industry. The premium electric SUV, built by Master Changan Motors Limited (MCML), offers Pakistani consumers a locally produced Range-Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV) with advanced features. This launch positions Pakistan among countries adopting next-generation electric mobility solutions.
The Deepal S05 was first showcased at the Pakistan Auto Show (PAPS) 2025 and has now entered its delivery phase. MCML completed production in just 90 days, using advanced robotics and precision assembly techniques. Built on the EPA1 pure-electric platform, the SUV provides a 1,000 km combined driving range and a 170 km electric-only range with its 27.28 kWh Golden Shield Battery. This ensures a true all-time electric drive experience and removes range anxiety for customers.
Structurally, the Deepal S05 features a hybrid aluminium-steel chassis, optimized for strength, stability, and comfort. The body benefits from robotic riveting, achieving a torsional stiffness of 35,000 Nm/degree to enhance safety. Inside, it offers over 20 Level-2 intelligent ADAS functions, including Remote Straight-In & Out Parking (RSIO), creating a premium, safe, and tech-savvy driving experience.
The SUV has already gained strong market momentum, with early bookings filling up until April 2026. Priced at PKR 9,999,000, the Deepal S05 combines luxury, efficiency, and local innovation. CEO Mr. Danial Malik said the locally assembled REEV sets a new benchmark for electric mobility in Pakistan.
