The minister raised concerns over security, discipline, and parliamentary decorum during a recent assembly session, urging stricter enforcement of rules within the Parliament House.
Khawaja Asif said that Parliament must maintain dignity and follow established traditions without exception. He stressed that lawmakers should respect institutional rules and avoid any behavior that disrupts proceedings or undermines the authority of the House. According to him, breaches of conduct inside Parliament have become a growing concern.

During his address, Khawaja Asif highlighted increasing security risks within the Parliament complex. Unnecessary visitor movement, filming, and photography in restricted areas have become recurring issues, he said. He called for stricter monitoring of these activities to ensure safety and order.
He further emphasized that lawmakers and visitors must follow clear guidelines regarding parliamentary conduct. According to him, discipline is essential to preserve the credibility of democratic institutions. He also suggested that members should be properly briefed about rules to prevent violations.
The minister also expressed concern over informal interactions and gestures in gallery areas. He stated that such behavior reduces the seriousness of parliamentary proceedings and should be discouraged.
Call for Strict Implementation of Rules
Khawaja Asif urged that the authority of the Speaker must be fully respected at all times. He also suggested displaying parliamentary rules clearly inside the assembly for members and visitors.
He also supported stricter controls on guest entry inside Parliament. Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq reminded members to follow House rules and avoid bringing guests without valid passes.
