WhatsApp has started rolling out a redesigned WhatsApp message menu for Android users, aiming to make chat interactions faster, cleaner, and more consistent with the iOS experience. The update focuses on improving how users access common message actions such as reply, forward, copy, and delete.
According to details shared by the platform, the new interface replaces the older layout where options were split between different areas of the screen. Many Android users previously had to navigate the top bar or secondary menus to find basic tools. With this update, WhatsApp brings all essential actions into a single compact menu that appears directly next to a selected message.
The redesigned system is activated in a simple way. Users only need to tap and hold any message in a chat. The updated WhatsApp message menu then pops up instantly beside the message, allowing quick access to core functions without extra steps.
WhatsApp moves less frequently used options into a “More” section. This change helps reduce clutter on the screen and keeps the interface more focused on everyday actions. WhatsApp says the goal is to make messaging smoother and more intuitive for all users.
The update also improves design consistency between Android and iPhone devices. Previously, both platforms had slightly different layouts for message actions, which sometimes confused users switching between devices. The new approach creates a unified experience across both systems.
The feature is currently available in WhatsApp Beta for Android version 2.26.23.8. WhatsApp expects a wider global rollout in the coming months after testing and feedback from beta users.
For millions of Android users in Pakistan, the redesign will make chatting more efficient. The simplified layout reduces unnecessary steps and helps users interact with messages more quickly.
This update reflects WhatsApp’s ongoing effort to deliver a cleaner and more user-friendly experience across platforms.
