By combining the Yango platform’s livelihood initiatives with NowPDP’s expertise, the partnership promotes financial independence for disabled individuals.
As part of the first phase, Yango Pakistan distributed retrofitted rickshaws for disabled drivers, enabling them to join ride-hailing services immediately. This expansion of a disability-friendly fleet ensures that persons with disabilities can access meaningful and lasting employment opportunities. The ceremony in Karachi was inaugurated by Sindh Minister Saeed Ghani, highlighting the importance.
Miral Sharif, Country Head at Yango Pakistan, stated, “Disability should never become an obstacle between will and opportunity. Our inclusive mobility program demonstrates how technology-enabled inclusion can create economic opportunity for persons with disabilities.” The initiative reflects a broader commitment to digital inclusion in Pakistan, while advancing industry innovation supporting social development.
