UAE Sets Zakat Al Fitr and Fidyah Rates for Ramadan 2026

UAE Sets Zakat Al Fitr and Fidyah Rates for Ramadan 2026, the UAE Fatwa Council announced, ensuring all financially able Muslims meet their charitable obligations. The council set clear rules for Fitrana payments, cash equivalents, and Fidyah contributions, helping families and individuals plan their Ramadan donations. These guidelines reflect the market value for Zakat 2026 and ensure support reaches the needy efficiently.

Zakat Al Fitr is 2.5 kg of rice per person or Dh25, giving recipients flexibility in charity. You can pay Zakat in cash or food through approved channels like Zakat Fund UAE and Emirates Red Crescent. This ensures that charitable organizations in the UAE distribute contributions fairly during Ramadan 2026 charity campaigns and Eid prayer contributions.

Those unable to fast can pay Fidyah by feeding one poor person 3.25kg of wheat or Dh20 per day. The same Dh20 applies to minimum iftar meal value donations. Kaffarah for fasting violations is Dh1,200 for 60 needy people, and breaking an oath is Dh200 for 10 beneficiaries. Fidyah for Hajj or Umrah prohibitions is Dh120, distributed to 6 beneficiaries.

The UAE Fatwa Council and Ministry of Economy and Tourism say payments must be made before Eid prayers. All donations follow Fitrana payment rules, ensuring that Ramadan expiations are met and the poor receive proper support. Charitable organizations encourage Muslims to contribute to maximize the impact of their obligatory Ramadan charity.

By following these updated rates, the UAE ensures fair distribution and strengthens the spirit of giving during Ramadan 2026.
