Punjab Launches Pink & Blue Mobile Units for Driving Licenses, bringing convenient services directly to citizens’ doorsteps. These units aim to simplify the process of obtaining learner licenses, regular driving licenses, and license renewal. The initiative is part of the Punjab Chief Minister’s initiatives to improve public service efficiency and empower women in Punjab.
The mobile government services have been activated in 27 districts, including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Sialkot, and Multan. A spokesperson said over 140,000 citizens benefited from the on-door service in the past two months. Of these, 51,000 received learner licenses, 70,000 obtained fresh regular driving licenses, and 25,000 renewed their permits.
Special Pink Mobile Units focus on women, offering essential services while promoting women’s empowerment in Punjab. So far, 24,000 women have availed themselves of the licensing services, including 7,000 learner licenses and 6,000 regular driving licenses. The Blue Units provide district-level services for men and general citizens, ensuring that licensing needs are met efficiently.
This practical step reflects the government’s vision of bringing essential services closer to citizens. The mobile units make public services more accessible and convenient, reducing long queues and travel time. Residents have praised the initiative for offering doorstep services while maintaining high standards of efficiency.
By expanding Pink and Blue Mobile Units across Punjab, authorities are setting a benchmark in citizen convenience. The program not only streamlines driving license services but also strengthens community trust in government operations. These units demonstrate how mobile government services can efficiently serve large populations.
