Pakistani Students in Iran Can Continue Studies via the PMDC Exam, allowing them to resume medical education without losing academic time. This opportunity is especially important for medical students returning from Iran due to the ongoing Iran–Israel conflict’s impact. The PMDC NEB exam 2026 ensures academic continuity for medical students and provides a clear path to transfer to Pakistani medical colleges.
The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council update announced that the National Equivalence Board exam will be held on May 16, 2026, at the Rawalpindi exam center, PMDC. Students who have completed at least two years of MBBS or BDS studies abroad are eligible to appear. The NEB exam ensures that overseas Pakistani students’ education and medical degrees are recognized in Pakistan.
Registration for the NEB exam is open from April 9 to April 24, 2026. Students must complete the online registration process for the NEB exam in Pakistan within this period. The syllabus covers core subjects studied during foreign medical education. Following the PMDC 2026 policy helps parents and students ensure a smooth return.
The program provides foreign medical students a legal path to continue medical studies in Pakistan. It helps maintain academic continuity for medical students, supports proper transfer procedures, and reduces disruptions caused by geopolitical tensions. The NEB exam lets Pakistani students abroad get prior study recognized and join local medical colleges.
