Jazz Leads Regional Telecom Innovation with Fully Converged SVC Core Deployment. The digital operator has completed a Proof of Concept (PoC) for a fully converged Single Voice Core (SVC). This deployment unifies multi-generation voice services, improving 2G, 4G/VoLTE interoperability and future 5G voice readiness. Jazz’s network modernization journey ensures better service quality and operational efficiency.
Conducted in collaboration with Huawei, the PoC validated the technical and operational feasibility of voice service unification. Architectural simplification enables faster call setup and reduces call drops. Trial results show meaningful improvements in call stability and voice clarity. By consolidating all voice services onto a single platform, Jazz creates an agile platform for future innovation while enhancing the customer experience.
Built on Pakistan’s widest nationwide network, Jazz operates over 17,800 active base stations and a 30,500 km optical fiber backbone. Large-scale VoLTE adoption is expected to accelerate, offering reliable connectivity in both urban and rural areas. With market share leadership at 37%, Jazz is well-positioned to deliver high-quality voice services consistently across the country.
The fully converged SVC core also prepares Jazz for next-generation technology adoption, supporting future 5G voice services. Customers can enjoy faster call setup, fewer drops, and clearer calls. Jazz’s approach reinforces its commitment to network excellence and leadership in the region, setting a benchmark for other telecom operators.
In conclusion, Jazz’s fully converged SVC core deployment strengthens Pakistan’s telecom landscape. By combining operational efficiency, service quality improvement, and future-ready infrastructure, Jazz continues to lead regional telecom innovation.
