Hajj 2026 Biometric Verification Deadline Extended by Ministry, announced the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, giving pilgrims extra time to complete the process. The extension ensures that all intending Hajj pilgrims from Pakistan can finish their biometric verification via the Saudi Visa Bio App. Pilgrims over 80 years are exempt, but others must complete verification to receive Hajj 2026 visas.
The new deadline for completing biometric verification is February 17, 2026. Pilgrims can complete the process from home, saving time and avoiding unnecessary travel. Alternatively, Saudi Tasheer Centres in major cities such as Islamabad and Karachi provide in-person verification. Applicants are advised to keep the pilgrimage confirmation receipt or email for record-keeping.
Hajj 2026 arrangements are in full swing, and the Ministry confirmed that visa issuance will proceed only after verification. Pakistan requested a quota increase for Hajj 2026, raising the total to 230,000 pilgrims. Out of this, around 118,000 seats are allocated under the government Hajj scheme, while the rest are managed by private tour operators. The Route to Makkah project currently serves pilgrims from Islamabad and Karachi, with plans to expand to Lahore.
The Ministry also emphasized Hajj training sessions for first-time pilgrims, which guide them through travel arrangements and religious protocols. Completing biometric verification is crucial for a smooth journey and timely Hajj visa issuance. These steps help maintain accurate records and streamline the Hajj Umrah Saudi Arabia process.
