The Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) will collaborate with the government to ensure full compensation for lost goods. An FIR registered for fire confirms legal action against responsible parties, and authorities are implementing fire safety measures to prevent future tragedies.
CM Murad Ali Shah also highlighted building safety audits across Karachi. Every structure, including the reconstructed Gul Plaza, will follow strict building safety requirements. These measures aim to protect traders and the public from similar incidents. The Korangi Causeway inauguration event also included his statement about government support for traders during this recovery phase.
The 1,300 shops will be ready within two months, providing stability and hope for affected shopkeepers. Reconstruction of Gul Plaza, combined with financial aid for businesses, shows the Sindh government’s commitment to recovery and tragedy prevention measures.
