Overseas Pakistanis to Get Digital Property Registration in Sindh

Overseas Pakistanis to Get Digital Property Registration in Sindh is a major step toward transparency and ease in real estate registration online. The Sindh cabinet recently approved this initiative, linking 49 sub-registrar offices with NADRA to ensure secure and verified property transactions. This digital property system will protect overseas Pakistanis’ property rights and reduce fraud.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah chaired the provincial cabinet meeting, where this reform was approved. Officials said the system allows remote property registration and verification for non-resident Pakistanis. Currently, many face delays and complications, but this online approach simplifies the process. The initiative aligns with broader provincial governance reforms.

The government has also focused on environmental protection in Sindh. For example, 405,002 acres of Sujawal protected forests, and 251,374 hectares in the Thatta district have been secured to improve coastal land protection. These efforts enhance biodiversity conservation, prevent floods and cyclones, and strengthen Indus Delta mangroves. Sindh’s total protected forest now stands at 566,298 hectares, while forest cover aims to rise from 10% to 25%.

Additionally, the cabinet authorized consumer courts to act as traffic courts, allowing prompt resolution of e-challans. Other development projects, like the 4.3 billion rupees Larkana fruit and vegetable market, show the government’s focus on infrastructure and public welfare.

This digital registration system marks a turning point for overseas Pakistanis, combining technological efficiency with legal security. The initiative not only supports property rights but also integrates with environmental and governance reforms across Sindh.
